Quercus HR is owned and run by Rachel Sandham, an Employment solicitor authorised by The Solicitor’s Regulation Authority to practice on her own account.

After studying at Cambridge University and then Sotheby’s, Rachel began her career in Deutsche Bank’s prestigious corporate art collection.
 
Rachel went on to become a solicitor, training at Forsters LLP in Mayfair and qualifying into their Corporate & Commercial department. 
 
When the opportunity to take over Forsters' Employment offering arose, Rachel jumped at the chance to diversify and was soon running a successful Employment practice, catering to a range of clients that included large corporates, SMEs, hotels and restaurants, galleries, landed estates, agricultural businesses and private households. Using the benefit of her own diverse background, Rachel has always sought to bring a practical and commercial approach to her advice, but also a thoroughly human one.  
 
Rachel created Quercus HR to allow her to focus on the elements of practice she most enjoys: helping employers and employees to negotiate the minefield of day to day employment issues.  Rachel particularly excels at navigating employee relations matters, and takes a reassuringly pragmatic approach to her legal advice.
